Our Story
Happy Caps was founded in 2020 by Mike Hannegan and Trevor Haremaker during a surf trip to Mexico. What started as a conversation between friends — about optimism, mental wellness, and being present — became a brand built around exactly that.
From Southern California roots, Happy Caps grew into a national and international community of people chasing cleaner energy, sharper focus, and calmer days.

The Evolution
In 2022 we launched our hats in Miami’s Wynwood district and started showing up where culture happens — Formula 1, Art Basel, and E11EVEN nightclub. Hats turned into a movement, and the brand turned into a lifestyle.
In 2025, Mike stepped in full-time to lead the next chapter: retail partnerships, premium gummies, and collaborations with the artists we love.

Where we make it
All Happy Caps products are made in the United States in a GMP-certified, NSF-registered facility. Batches are tested for 70+ pesticides, 4 heavy metals, and 16 microbial contaminants before leaving the lab.
